Abstract

The rate of changes in water levels in rivers has rapidly increased since the past decades and today it is hard to find a river that is not influenced by human activities. The understanding of causes to changes is an important knowledge for future water management and planning. This study will help the locality in monitoring water levels to improve visibility on potential flood situations in the areas of study. It will also help monitor ground and surface water as well as river level that could influence agricultural produce and water for domestic usage. Water level monitory is hugely beneficial for wide variety of applications and industries. It helps in providing an early warning of likely flooding situation thereby providing valuable time.
