Abstract

Organisations operate amidst multiple challenges and threats. Literature abound that such challenges has in the past led to the folding up of many organisations. This has resulted in tremendous pressure on organizations to generate equally fast responses in order to survive and sustain. This study was structured to apply organization development framework and tools to assess the capacity of Givers Foundationto identify its areas of weakness and strengths and develop interventions to ameliorate identified gaps. The overall aim has been to ascertain whether OD intervention has a significant impact on organization performance. The result revealed that organizational variables such as purpose, structure and communication, appreciative leadership, reward systems, knowledge management, coaching and mentorship, change and growth and relationship are strongly correlated with organizational performance. It recommends that managers of organisations should design policies that guides the regular assessment of organizational capacities periodically.
