Youth in Student Politics: A Study on the Factors that Attract the Youth to Join Student Politics

Abstract

What prompts or attract a youth to involve in student politics, if so why he/she chooses to join a particular student political party   has been one of the research questions. In other words what are the motivating factors that come into play in their decision to join a student party and which of the factors contribute more? The answer to this question boils down to few peculiar factors which are essentially pertinent to the youth in their situation. They revolve around, security, efficiency of the service provider and one's own personal characteristics.  When attention is given to these factors, the motive and nature of involvement of students in party politics can be channelized for betterment of both the individual and the institution.
