Abstract
The study examined early childhood development and education for national development: relevance and delivery system in Nigeria. The paper examined the concept of Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE), its purpose and relevance, and the delivery system in the country. The paper suggests strategies to improve early childhood care and development and recommends that the Government improve ECDCE by having a strong political will towards it, among other things.
