An Analytical Research of Prophet King Solomon's Leadership Qualities, Decisiveness, and Sagacity

Abstract

Many great leaders who left their marks on people have been witnesses to history. King Solomon, known as Prophet Suleiman, was one of the greatest leaders of Muslims. Solomon showed administrative wisdom and established successfully better diplomatic relations, social justice, and judicial enforcement, as well as leading literary creations in Israel. This article focuses on the leadership of King Solomon, using the historical method of research, in an analysis of leadership qualities by evaluating the reign of Salomon, as in Biblical and Islamic texts: The Saba conquest; the judgment, the wisdom, decision-making power. Moreover, the paper assesses Solomon's leadership and decision-making capabilities based upon an Islamic view of his leadership and compare them to the modern definition for leadership in order to understand the practicality and efficiency of his leadership.
