Abstract

The introduction of Population Education to Indian school curriculum was made in early 70s of last century. Being multidisciplinary in nature it was integrated with different school subjects and was never been treated as a separate school subject. This study shows that the policy of integration was not a flawless one. The paper also argued for Population Education as a separate subject in primary and secondary school curriculum.
