Abstract

This study analysed the influence of intellectual's stimulation (IS) behavior on public sector performance (PSP) in Tanzania.  The study used quantitative research methods whereby survey design was employed. The sample size of the study was 360 respondents. Multi stage sampling technique was applied to draw the study subjects. Data analysis was done quantitatively using structural equation modeling. The findings of the study indicate that, intellectual stimulation found with positive but insignificant influence on public sector performance. In addition, all attributes of intellectual stimulation indicated positive and significant influence on public sector performance in Tanzania. The study concludes that other factors which hinder the effectiveness of intellectual stimulation behavior on influencing public sector performance in Tanzania should be traced and be resolved to enhance performance.
