Capacity Building of Teachers at the Secondary Level of Education in the Context of Social Change in Assam, India

Abstract

Human beings are always in love of change. Science and technology have brought about sea changes in our society. Today, the student community is much different from those of yesteryears. Therefore, a teacher has to improve himself/herself in order to keep pace with the changes. Moreover, society has increased expectations from the teachers.

In this paper, an attempt has been made to throw light on the different aspects of changes among students of secondary level and the various techniques to deal with the changes to be adopted by a teacher. The various approaches to bring out the best in every teacher are to be highlighted.
