Abstract

The hotel is one of the accommodations that support the satisfaction of tourists visiting a tourist attraction. The creation of customer satisfaction is inseparable from the role of non-star hotel employees who are able to provide services were excellent. This can be achieved if non-star hotel employees are loyal to the company and feel satisfied with their work so that there is no desire to leave the company, a sense of attachment to the extraordinary company and no intention to look for another job. The purpose of this study: (1) To analyze and explain the effect of job satisfaction on turnover intention, (2) To analyze and explain the effect of employee engagement moderation on the effect of job satisfaction on turnover intention. This research was conducted on non-star hotel employees in Denpasar, Bali. Furthermore, the number of samples taken was 100 questionnaires taken from several non-star hotel employees in Denpasar, Bali, but only 93 respondents filled out the questionnaire completely. Data collection techniques used in the study were questionnaires using a Likert scale. The analytical method used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA).

The results of the analysis obtained are (1) job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, (2) employee engagement moderates the effect of job satisfaction on turnover intention. Limitations in this study where the location of the study was carried out only in Non-Star Hotels in Denpasar Bali. So, it is expected that further research can examine in different locations and show other variables that can affect employee turnover intention.
